Rue Rivoli is a great street for shopping. Also Les Halles is close by or catch the metro. And the Marais area is great with little boutiques and unique shops full of fantastic finds. Those are my favourites. |

You should defintely go to "les champs-elysées", a lot of nice shops are waiting for you.
But also "galeries lafayettes" and the "printemps"...
Close to your street, the Rue de Rivoli (Rivoli street) has plenty of nice shops too!!! |

The Champs-Elysee is very commercialised and you will probably have visited most of the same shops overseas!
I would concentrate on the old department stores like Samaritain (Pont Neuf metro?), Printemps and Galaries Lafayette (Boulevard Hausseman?). Also, wandering round the streets where the dept stores are located you will come across smaller more Parisian stores such as Fauchon. There is also the Place Vendome and Rue Fauberg - St Honore - but this is a very posh area - best for window shopping.
Finally try a food market like Rue Moufftard, and even the Monmartre area for little antique shops and art galleries. |

The Champs-Elize (dats probably not how you spell it!) is probably the best and most well known place to shop in paris! designer stores, i think! |

Gallerie Lafayette. It's a huge, huge, huge department store, the most famous department store in Paris like Herrod's in London. Also you could shop on the Champs Elysees or Les Halles. |

In the Opera area there is the Galleries Lafayettes and
Printemps.
You are not far either from the Champs Elysees Avenue, the most beautiful street in the world. |

Go to Les Halles (metro station Chatelet - Les Halles). There's a lot of shop in the Halles, and also oustide, in the street near le Halles.
Or go to La Defense, there is a big shopping center there. |
