You could try Chez Nous, they have around 4000 properties on their books which are owned by private owners. Depending on the time of year you are going you may be able to negotiate a good rate - though forget it if you are going in the summer as demand outstrips supply. You may also get cheaper rentals on the western-side around Agde or the Langdoc Roussillion region.
