Merde! means sh**

But just say "Sacre bleu!" and that will cover everything. I don't know why -- it's a french thing!

I'm not so sure that yahoo will allow me to tell you here what are the most common swear words we, French people, use in our daily conversation !
although I don't use them much, there are quite a lot...
so if you care to contact me privately on my e-mail,
I will brush up your knowledge !
Ă  bientĂ´t !

largegrasseatingmonster
You would need to be able to pronounce them as well, which is the hard part. You might just wind up cursing in gibberish, which sounds awful funny.

But, here's a list of some favorites:

Chatte, chienne, enculé de ta race, salope, pédé, pute, putain, connard.

You can find a more complete list with explanations below

well you know when someone says the F word and says pardon my french....that word in french really means Seal.
But people say all kinds of curse words preceeded by Excuse my french.
Offal is french for crap I think.

French Ingrid
Sacre bleu is not a bad word, thats is a very old expression, ppl said that when they was angry, affraid, so, Suprised !

Merde = sh!te
Fais chier =
Putain = ***** (more like merde, i say that automaticly as sh!te)
Je t'emmerde = i f*** you
Va te faire voir chez les grecs = Go to show you to the greeks (you know what to show to greeks lol)
Ta mère = your mother (when we are angry)
Salope = *****
Trou du cul = ********

JD
a lot of the french swear words are related to church items:
osti (communion)
tabarnacle (say it without pronouncing the le)
merde (I see someone's put that up here already)
mon dieux (not really a swear but it's my god)
The french aren't really original with their swearing.
