HUH? Walmart is like Monoprix? Monoprix is a very expensive hypermarket where as Walmart has the reputation of too cheap for its own good?
Carrefour is expensive too.
I would go for Auchan, it is the cheapest hypermarket I know in France.

@ Fella Englishman, Wal-Mart Stores I believe is like Kmart, we have Kmart stores in Australia I am not sure whether it is availble in the UK? I know there are Walmart stores in Canada.

The closest store like wall mart IN Paris would be "Monoprix", you'll find them in almost all Paris districts, the one on the Champs Elysées closes at midnight everyday

Monoprix is similar to Wal~Mart. There's one on Boulevard St. Germain (6eme) and another on Boulevard Sebastopol (3eme). There are probably others, but these are the two that I have actually been inside.
You might also try Carrefour, depending on what it is you're desperate to buy.

there no store here in paris like wal mart , one wal mart carry clothes of all sizes not just for bone bags , they are open 24 /7 no store in paris can stay open that long they are cheap but have great items no store in paris can even come close to what wal mart is i so miss wal mart :( |
