Does this sound like a good idea?

A day out to disneyland for 4 people

get up at 4am
go to the airport
flight at 7 to paris (3 hrs)
shuttle bus @ 11 to disneyland paris,
Spent 6 hrs roughly @ disneyland (WOOHOO) 12.30-6.30,
shuttlebus back to airport,
flight at 9pm
all home by midnight hopefully. roughly 200 euros pp, (300$ or 150£) inc. flights, money for food and disneyland tickets. :)
(the long day isn't a problem)
Additional Details
I have been to disneyland about 4 times, and the city once or twice, it's just for the experience of the day trip lol. thanks though :)

In order for you to fully experience disneyland, you will usually need to spend more than one day there, but considering you've already been there, you probably have a good idea about how to manage your time. As long as everybody going is older (no children could handle this schedule) and can handle a very long day filled with tourists, waiting for rides bathrooms and food, and expensive everything. I've had days like this but instead of flying for 6 hrs I drove for 6 hrs and I had a great time but was exhausted the next day.

Depending on where you live (you didn't say), you could consider taking the Eurostar to Paris instead of the plane if you are in easy reach of St Pancras, Ebsfleet or Ashford. The first one leaves London at about half past five in the morning and only takes two hours to Gare du Nord. That would mean getting up about the same time as your plan, but actually arriving in Disneyland quite a bit earlier.

Then a direct train from the Gare du Nord takes 35 minutes. Much more relaxing than all the queueing up at the airport.
The last Eurostar to London (on Saturdays) is at quarter past nine, which gets you out and about in London by half past ten.

So you end up spending more time in Disneyland and less waiting for the plane to take off. But then if you like Disneyland you probably like waiting around anyway.

sounds like fun. I've always wanted to fly to Italy just for dinner.

You're in paris, everything sounds like a good idea.

Wow. You may want to stay the night there. There is so much to do and I'm sure lines are very long so you may need longer than 6 hours at the park.

I agree with StarsNeverRise. Stay a night and stay longer at Disneyland.

if you can handle all the running...I did I visit to all the disney parks once in one full day and at the end I was completely exhausted, I didn't feel like I had enough time to accomplish everything I wanted to do and see everything I wanted to see. I always recommend more than a day at a disney park!

it is okay .

unreal.

Heidi
Have you taken time zone differences into consideration?

Sounds like fun.... go for it.

Paris is not easy to travel thru. Any traffic jams and you can expect to miss your flights or not make it to Disneyland by 12:30. It is possible, but I have a feeling it would be a little stressful. For the money though it might be worth it. I hope you have been to Paris before however. If you are going for the first time and only go to Disneyland it would be a wasted trip in my opinion.

last week I was 6 hours in Disneyland and we only went into 5 or 6 things: cues were quite long but we had a nice day and after 6 hours we were ready to head back to Paris...but then Disneyland is not so much our cup of tea.
Ps: we did not buy fast passes, this costs a few euros more but the advantage is that you don't need to queue: as you won't have any costs for accomodation you might want to spend a few euros more to squeeze more in your day

Maybe. It depends on who goes.

smarthotgirl
i disagree. since you are going to paris. why don't you stay there longer to have more fun. all in 1 day, is just too much. i think you & the people you are going with would be too tired to enjoy themselves. maybe do some shopping. a tour around paris. some french/european food. good luck & have fun!

Not at all a good idea. There are too many possibilities of your plans getting derailed. If your flight to Paris is delayed, your whole schedule is blown to smithereens. If something happens to the shuttle on the way to Disney, you lose time in the park. If something happens to the shuttle on the way back to the airport, you miss your flight.

In addition, if you're only spending 6 hours in the park, you're not going to see all that much because you will spend the majority of your time standing in lines. Why would you pay that much money for the experience of standing in endless lines? It's not logical to me.

Odile
Well, if that is what you like........it will be the perfect day.
However, if you have been to Disneyland so many times, why not try Parc Asterix for a change?

lilhoneybabi
i agree with Matthew
