By the lift, otherwise you can walk by the stairs

Adult :
first step : 4,50 €
2nd step : 7,80 €
top : 11,50 €

Children
first step :2,30 €
2nd step : 4,30 €
top : 6,30 €

My opinion: go to the top, you'll see all Paris. But do it if it's not cloudy.

Bon voyage and enjoy Paris

It depends on the age of the child (children over 12 pay the same price adults do), on how high you want to go (first floor (=1er étage), second floor (2eme étage) or to the top (= sommet)) and if you want to take the elevator (= ascenseur) or the stair (= escalier)

It's all on this French site, I think it explains itself pretty clearly:
http://www.tour-eiffel.fr/teiffel/fr/pratique/acces/page/tarifs.html

It's all in Euro's, but yahoo also a currecncy convertor
http://finance.yahoo.com/currency/convert?amt=1&from=EUR&to=USD&submit=Convert

Good luck!!

EDIT: Sorry, I just saw that the site also has an english version:
http://www.tour-eiffel.fr/teiffel/uk/pratique/acces/page/tarifs.html?id=2_3

When i went to france in 2000 it was like 25 dollars

natalie_rose78
its pretty expensive- i think 20 euros.
i have a better idea AND its a LOT less of a line and you get a better view!!!!!
Basically, Paris' skyline IS the eiffel tower. so, if you go TO the eiffel tower to see anything, you will be sadly dissappointed.
There is a building called the Montparnasse. It is in Paris. i cant remember what quarter. ask you will find it or look it up online. You get a view of THE EIFFEL TOWER and other things around.-- at night. its a great view. you basically ride to the top floor of the building and stand on the roof. its nice.
way better than the hustle and bustle at the base of the eiffel tower!
