here is a photo of the tower http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Paris_06_Eiffelturm_4828.jpg
It's on the Champ de Mars beside the Seine River in Paris and it was built by Gustave Eiffel in 1889

-- I can't help you I tried unsuccessfully to see the eiffle tower and the statue of liberty using google earth and I could not do it. I don't know why some things are so hard to navigate when it should just be too easy. it should be automatic. tonnes of people probably just want to see these sights just like me. I should be able to go to google earth and automatically see good images already programmed to show what most tourists would want to see instead for example it took me to "elis island, I don't know but I think this is where the statue of liberty is, and I srolled all over and couldn't find it. same with the eiffel tower. I simply gave up because I feel I should not have to go to college and study google earth for five years just beable to see something.
-- if I wanted to see something else well I should have to go to college to learn how to use google earth
-- but for all the worlds major things like the eiffle tower, the statue of liberty the piramids well it should just be click done..
-- sorry can't help you just whinning and complaining here
