Electrical Outlets?

My sister and I are going to Paris in June. I am coming from the States. How can i go about finding the plugs in the US to make my curling iron compatible with the electrical outlets in Paris.

You can find a cheap set of adapters at Sharper Image (or the likes) or an expensive set at Radio Shack.

But the isn't your problem. Unless your curling iron can operate on 110v and 220v, you CAN NOT use it. Just because you find the adapter doesn't not mean you can just plug it in and expect expect to live long...

Please buy a new curling iron that works with 110v or 220v before you go (you will still need the adapter). Better to be safe than to be in the headlines... :)

Any electronics store, like circuit city, good guys, fry's or best buy will have current converters for european travel.
You can also find them at Sharper Image or on Amazon.com.

The best thing you can do is buy a new curling iron in Paris. Otherways you need a transformation stuff. In paris the electricity are working on 220 volts. There is also a difference between the 'hertz', here in Europe it is 50 hertz or 60 hertz, i don't remember good. But anayway there in the states it is the opposit. I have my girlfriend in Dominican Republic, and there it is the same problem, she can not play a videotape (movie ) from here.

YOU CAN BUT A KIT THAT WILL HAVE ALL THE ADEPTERS THAT YOU WILL NEED DON'T KNOW WHERE YOU LIVE BUT I GOT MINE AT A DEPT. STORE I THINK IT WAS SEARS. I LIVE IN N.J.

any radio shack can supply you with the plugs, but you also need a converter, because the electrical surge coming out of european outlets is stronger than ours. if you just plug in your curling iron it'll fry. the people at radio shack should know exactly what you need, though. have fun!

ernie_fergler
It is not just the plug, it is the voltage. Has to be a 110/220 adaptable, and the plugs can be had here, too. But any radio shack can sell you adapters also.

Don't they make BUTANE curling irons that don't need power?
