I used to work for Haven Europe on a campsite near Paris (La Croix du Vieux Pont), which was a good site to go to if you want to go on days out to either Disneyland or Paris itself...it's a good base to stay at and they have amenities on site too, such as swimming pool, bar, kids club etc.
As someone else suggested, I would also pay a little bit more money to stay in one of the static caravans (they are more like bungalows!) instead of a tent cos the tents can be a nightmare if the weather is bad...trust me, I should know as I had to live in one for 3 months...plus I ended up with a hedgehog living in there too, so go for the caravan!!!

the campsites are good why not look up keycamp and siesta holidays they have sites and offer camping and mobile home holidays .
just back in july from keycamps in sanguli spain was great site and holiday.

I have friends who go regularly to France eurocamping - they say it's great for the kids - tons for them to do all the time, swimming, canoeing, football, etc and loads of kids to play with.
The only drawback they found was that it got really hot in the tents - no air con or fans to help!! They were in the south though.
Sounds worth doing.

Hi, I work for Eurocamp, but our prices can be quite high, I would try our sister company Keycamp, same sites, but cheaper with newer tents. Also, choose your site carefully as we've had a lot of problems with tents flooding this season as its been a wet summer in Europe.
If you could afford to spend a little more, I would recommend staying in a mobile home, unless you like the camping experience.
Also, if you do choose to go with Eurocamp this season, wait til mid week to book because the 50% off sale starts then. If you want to book for next season, wait until October when we run our early booking offer.
hope this helps.

Yep Euro camping great, its easy peasy, everything is there and set up for you. The only do's I would suggest here is if your not fluent French then learn just a few phrases like hello, goodbye and please may I have, as this will take you a long long way with the French, they are lovely people and appreciate you at least trying to speak a little French..its good manners and they will bend over backwards to help you JUST for that.....Dont's ARE insist on them speaking English to you all the time & don't try ringing for a taxi WITHOUT any help from a French english speaking person LOL Hope you have a good time. If you want anymore info email me through this site...I lived & worked in France as a chef for a year.
