I think you will need to at least double your budget as you will be very tight on £60.

all depends on what you want to do, if you just want to change of air, don't feel obliged to go to Paris, you can stop in another quiet place. it will be cheaper and as nice.

It is a crime to go to Paris for one single day. You will kick yourself all the way back to London.

Stay where you are, save this 120 Pounds, keep adding to it, and spend a couple of weeks in Paris, when you get a chance.

Not that you are still not going to kick yourself all the way back to where you are heading back to then.

Ooh, La, La.

It's going to be freezing next week. I think you might do better hanging out in a warm museum somewhere in blighty.

France is well worth it, i love heading in to Paris and taking the batobus (river taxi-ish) you can hop on/off and the ticket lasts all day, great if you love sight seeing at your own pace.

Just one day?

Walk up and down the Champs Elysées Sart at the métro Franklin D Roosevelt. Walk to the Arc de Triomphe. It takes 15mn if you don't stop to have a look at the shops.
Take the métro at the top, it is Métro Charles de Gaule Etoiles

And stop at métro Trocadéro
Have a nice look at the Eiffel Tower and
Go up the Eiffel Tower

If there is too much queue, choose the queue just with the stairs and walk up to the 2nd floor

Go to Notre Dame In Saint Michel (métro St Michel)
And finaly take a boat on the river for an hour cruise (Take it at Pont Neuf)

If you're short with money, all you need is 10€ /7 pounds to buy 10 métro tickets and then you can just walk and have a look
For lunch you can have the famous Hams and Butter sanswich 3 euros
For diner any pizza for 12€

You can stay in a youth hostel http://www.hostelworld.com/hostels/Paris

i went to paris when i was 10 and it was the best thing ever! i saw the eiffel tower during the day and a t night was it was lit up. i also went to versailles where i saw the kings and queens beds. *if u go to the back of Versailless and make a right, there is a small ice cream shop with the #1 strawberry ice cream! even if u only stay for 3 days and see those things, it is worth every penny! ;)
