France traslation of"you are great"?

First of all, the English "you" could be "vous"(polite) or "tu"(familiar) in French. And "great" could be "genial", "magnifique" and few others, because that's depends on the context.

"tu es le meilleur" or "tu es superbe"

tu es merveilleux / génial

jaja
A literal translation is “tu es genial” or “vous ĂȘtes genial/gĂ©niaux”. “Tu” is the familiar you – used with someone you know well – while “vous” is the plural/formal version – used to address several people or a person you don’t know well.

However, it all depends on the context. I wouldn’t say “vous ĂȘtes genial” to someone I don’t know – it’s too familiar. And, it all depends on what you are trying to communicate. If you want to thank someone for getting something done “gĂ©nial” can be appropriate – “Merci, tu es gĂ©nial”.
However, if you are trying to compliment someone on their appearance there are better translations: “tu es/vous ĂȘtes superbe/magnifique/super”.
