So basically I'm trying to find the name of a chocolate bar I was given for breakfast in Paris last month. I remeber it was a red label and it was about the size of a fat marker. It had two separate pieces. It was a spiral of crispy wafer covered in milk chocolate. I think it was made by one of the big food companies.
Yep! That's a Kinder product. From what you've described, I would assume it's a Kinder Bueno.

kinder maybe?
C'est Pas Vrai!
Mmmm...yeah, definitely the Kinder Bueno! I ate tons of those when I was over there...delicious! Kinder is kind of like the French Hershey's (only better). They do eat a fair amount of Twix bars too, but I rarely saw a kit kat, and I'm willing to bet 10 to 1 that what you had was a Kinder Bueno.
Kit Kat comes in a red wrapper with the name across the top....
Kinder bueno has a wrapper of several colours.
Twix has a wrapper of a golden colour, the name is partly in red.
All three are in two pieces...
I'd say it would have been a Kit Kat.
(You can find them in almost every supermarket and sweet shop throughout Europe)
