The answer is "Il n'est pas gros".

If the person is feminine, the answer would be

"Elle n'est pas grosse". See the change in gender in "gros?" And of course, "elle" means "she".

IL N'EST PAS GROS is the closest, as far as a literal translation goes.

Alternately you could also say

IL EST MINCE (He is skinny)
or
IL EST MAIGRE (He is slender)

You would say,

Il n'est pas gros.

There's no need to change gros, because it is already in masculine singular.

gros would be the adjective describing fat.
le gras is a noun describing fat, as in the fat from a steak.
la graisse is a noun describing fat in the human body

No, it's 'il n'est pas gras'. 'Gros' just means big, as in tall, 'gras' means 'fat'.

Il n'est pas gros. - He is not big.
