French used car market?
does anyone know if the French used car market compares favourably or unfavourably with the English market?
are their prices on 7-15 year old cars generally more expensive , or cheaper, or the same?
how is the cost of motoring in France generally with insurance and fuel costs, tax etc ? Additional Details do you think it would be cheaper to be buy a left-hand drive car in UK?
Second hand cars in France are generally more expensive than in UK although 7-15 year old do level out. There are bargains now and again.
Running costs are a little cheaper than UK. Insurance and fuel (esp. diesel) are about 10% cheaper and there is NO road tax.
French bureaucracy can make changing registration docs entertaining!! A LHD normal car can be easy but a RHD Camper can be tough.
Look on Ebay under LHD or left hand drive for cars already on french plates.
