In France they say that every road leads to Paris and I wouldn't be surprised if distances were all measured in comparison to the center of the city.

France's "Point zÃ©ro", the reference point for distances along the highways starting in Paris, is situated in the square in front of the cathedral. Tradition hold that tourists who stand on Point zÃ©ro will one day return to Paris. It is actually a stone in the ground.
