from Paris , all distances are measured from the Notre Dame Church but for another cities it´s from the mayor house.

In France they say that every road leads to Paris and I wouldn't be surprised if distances were all measured in comparison to the center of the city.

France's "Point zéro", the reference point for distances along the highways starting in Paris, is situated in the square in front of the cathedral. Tradition hold that tourists who stand on Point zéro will one day return to Paris. It is actually a stone in the ground.
