Hi,
The best way to visit Paris is to walk trough its most typical places:
- Visit Montmartre! Very charming and typical litlle district of Paris (If you've seen the movie "Amelie Poulain", that were she leaves)
- Le "quartier latin (St Germain des Prés)" and "Le Marais" are also 2 typical districts
- Have a walk on the champs de Mars (the park below the Eiffel tower)
- Discover the Champs Elysées, the most famous avenue of Paris
- Have a look (you don't need to buy anything) to the "grands magasins" (department stores) such as Le Printemps or Les Galeries Lafayettes, on the Boulevard Haussman
- You can also go in a "Bateau Mouche"(boat) on the Seine. It's full of tourists, but still a nice visit to do.
Most famous museums of paris:
- Le louvre of course
- Le Musée d'Orsay, where your can find paintings and sculptures from Van Gogh, Rodin, Boticelli...
- Le centre Georges Pompidou/Beaubourg: modern art
Enjoy your trip! |

Entrance of the Louvre is free for persons under 26 every Friday from 6pm.
Orsay offers reduce rates for persons between 18 and 25. It is free for youths of under 18.
You may search for similar offers in other museums but there are certainly some. |

I've just been there the past few days and it is such a wonderful place.
Well of course you have to visit the usual; Arch of Triumph, Palace of Versailles, Eiffel Tower and Louvre Museum. Spend time in the Louvre, dont be in a hurry. It would be good to get a guide there too so that you get the scoop on all the different sections and works of art. In the Eiffel Tower, it would be wonderful to go up the tower itself. There's a entrance fee and the amount depends on how high you'd like to go. I only visited up to the 2nd floor but that's not bad at all. You get a splendid view of Paris, and it is definitely worth it.
Another suggestion would be to go around Paris during night time. Call a cab and tour around the spots. Loads of light and it all looks wonderful. Places I visited during my night tour were the Eiffel, Louvre (just outside the glass pyramid to take some snapshots), Concorde Square, the monument of St Joan of Arc, and on the streets of Champs Elyssees.
Hope you have a fun trip! |

Well, you have to see the Louvre, because it's world history. It's cheaper after 6 PM. Somehow, when I went, anyone under 26 got in for free. It was after 6 PM on a friday. |

I would highly recommend taking the train out to Versailles to spend time touring the chateau and the large gardens. It is a very historic and yet very pretty and interesting place to visit. |

Louvre and the Musee D'Orsay. Both give cheaper tickets in the afternoon / evening. Won't be enough time to see everything inside but enough to see what is most important to you.
Paris is a great city just to walk through and see all the amazing sights. You can see for free the Arc de Triomphe, Eiffel Tower, Sacre Coeur, Seine etc....you don't have to go in them to experience them. Although going to the top of the Eiffel Tower is pretty amazing and I would recommend it. The Moulin Rouge is worth it - go to the late night session without the dinner for a cheaper ticket. Also, there is a famous cemetary there - can't remember the name - Jim Morrison is buried there - it's worth a visit. Give Eurodisney a miss. It is expensive and just like all the other Disneylands. |
