Good Cheap Hostels in Paris?

6 girls heading for Paris from 18th to the 24th September, looking for a good cheap hostel in a nice area of Paris. All the hostels I have looked for so far don't have enough rooms for the six of us!!

Hostels may be the way to go, but sometimes cheap hotels can work out better, because :

1. They charge by the room, not the person.
2. Extra beds are often available for a small surcharge.
3. They are often better located, saving on transport costs
4. You can often get free inclusions on last minute deals like breakfast and sometimes transfers.
5. They have better amenities, sometimes.

Have a look through this directory, which allows you to sort by price, location, star rating . I saw 2 star hotels from 30 euros per room [ 15euros twin share ] :http://www.cheaperthanhotels.co.uk/France/Paris/

hope this helps

Paris has a big market in short term apartment rentals. Consider renting an apartment for a week. It will probably work out cheaper than a hotel anyway.
http://www.locaflat.com/ for instance.

Have you checked these hostels? http://www.cheaphostel.com/

Hotel Nord. Near the Gard de Nord. Is a cheap hotel. Not a hostel but pretty cheap.

Check out Hostelworld.com -they have several listings for hostels around 20-25 euros per person per night and some of their hostels have six bed suites (a couple even have their own bathroom). The nice area of Paris is always tough, my hostel was in the 18th district of Paris and seemed pretty rough at night but I rarely stayed out late and had no problems in the day. Hostelworld gives you ratings of the hostels saftey from other members and you can always double check with a guidebook like "Let's Go" for the worst parts of town.
