It's a gorgeous city if you take the time to look past the dirt and grime. The Eiffel tower isn't as awesome as you would expect, but you have to see it for yourself. The Louvre is GREAT! Make sure to go to the village of Montmarte to see Sacre Coure, Champs-Elysee as well as Arc de Triomphe and the Parisian opera house. |

I visited there five years ago while on a business trip...I loved it and found the people to be friendly. Just don't expect everyone to speak fluid English and keep your conversations simple and things go great. I was with a gentleman that could only speak Spanish and English and he was always trying to carry a full conversation with the people in Germany and France and could not understand why they gave him the cold shoulder. It is definitely a place to visit with your friends or significant other. Most restaurants have English menus...that helped a lot? |

Yes, Paris is a fun city. I go there often and like to explore Le Marais which is a neighbourhood on the right bank that has lots of neat streets with boutiques and local restaurants. Le Marais is also in walking distance to other famous attractions like Hotel de Ville, Notre Dame and the left bank. |
