Has anyone been to Paris and if you have what is the district called where all the shops like channel?

I need to know the streets and how to get there Where all the shops are like channl and the others I also need to know a good 5 or 4 star hotel with shower that is not too expensive. I also want to visit the palaces but don't know if they are in paris or other parts of france?

If you want store like Channel,Gucci.... Don't go to the Champs Elysees, but near the Champs Elysee you have the street with all the designers stores: Avenue Montaigne or you can go to Rue du Faubourg Saint Honoré.

Hôtel Plaza Athénée 25, avenue Montaigne is a good five star Hotel

You can visit Versailles Palace near Paris, but near the Loire river would be the best place in France to visit Palace, like Chambord, Amboise, Blois...

Champs-Élysées is the longest shopping street in the world. It is over a mile long.

Well not quite a mile but it is very long.

Thank god Hugues answered, follow his advice (fbg. st.-honoré and montaigne).

Lots of people speak out of their arses. the Champs-Elysees is far from being the most exclusive street in paris.

You could also try the area around St.-Germain-des-Prés, from the rue des stes. pères to about place Fürstenberg (north of the bd. st-germain). there's a bit to be seen there as well.

The shops are on the Champs-Élysées try tripadviser.com for the Hotel

The street with all the designer stores is the Champs Elysees. An inexpensive 4 or 5 star hotel? In Paris? Good luck. You can try www.tripadvisor.com. You can search hotels, read other travellers' experiences and they have forums, too. I've visited Versailles and it is outside the city. I don't know about other palaces.
