Yes!! acually i used to suffer from this when i was a little kid! being in a bus for like 3 hours could make ne sick . i remmember when i was 16 , i went with my friends to sharm el sheikh on a 9 hours journey by a bus , vomited & vomited till i was unable to stand as my blood pressure went down so far that i even couldnt see well!! after becomming a doctor now , i realized the reason for that & the causes!!:)
anyway, b4 any activity of that kind u should give him 1 or 2 tablets of dramamine , just 2 hours b4 the ride & he will certainly enjoy it!
dont worry when he is all grown up , he won't suffer from it anymore , as that what happened to me! yet , it still could happen again:)
remmember , no grauntees in life!!;) |

I never have, but there's a first for everything. You should indicate how old your son is. If it's just nausea, that's pretty normal for many. |

Ohhhh yes!
At American Adventure there is this ride that's an octopus and on each of its tentacles is a carriage. Well it starts spinning round and your carriage goes up and down. It was fine at first but about half way through the ride it was suddenly "uh-oh"!
Needless to say when I got off I needed to sit down. At this point I was white as a sheet and my stomach felt like a washing machine. I tried to drink some citrus Oasis to calm my stomach. Big mistake. I only just made it to the care park before I barfed up my entire stomach contents. Thanks to the Oasis it was bright yellow. I felt sorry for the guy who has to clean it up!
PS. I was about 12-13 at the time. It is perfectly normal. It's kind of like car/motion sickness. It's nothing to worry about and most people grow out of it. I barely get car sickness any more but years ago I couldn't go for an hour without getting queasy. |

Sorry to hear your son was sick. I became sick many times on many rides. You must avoid eating anything except crackers and toast, especially if the day is hot. But drink plenty of fluids which contain electrolytes. I think Gatorade is good but I don't know. When I go to an amusement park, I usually carry bottles of Pedialyte. That's intended for babies but it's also good for adults, according to my doctor. |

Yeh on the waltzers years ago, the guy who worked on them fancied my mate and thought he was doing us a favour by spinning us all the time. When i got off I couldn't walk straight, my friend said I went an awful shade of green and then........................yeh you guessed I was sick everywhere.
Never been on a ride that goes round since but I am fine on rollercoaster type rides, or absolutely great on "Tower of Terror" at one of the disney theme parks. That's my favourite ride ever. |
