Has anyone ever been to Parc Asterix near Paris?

My son is going with the school next month and we don't have much information on it and I would have liked some personal experience stories
Thanks in anticipation.

I'm guessing that your son is in High school and if so he will love it. Loads of people from the UK go as you can use Tesco vouchers to pay to get in!
Although it will have by far the longest queue tell him not to miss the wooden roller coaster. It is amazing! We went with our four kids, two primary age and two high school age and we all loved it. Be warned that hardly anyone who works there speaks English (not like Disneyland, Paris where pretty much everyone has some English) and the food available from the various vendors is (in our opinion) revolting. The hot dogs we bought were stone cold and chewy.
That said we will undoubtedly be going back (with a packed lunch) as we did have a fantastic day out.

iv been and it was good. but ov been to disneyland and its no match for it. but still good with friends. the q's for the rides arent as long either. i think theres like one massive rollercoaster and then quite a few littler rides. i went a few years ago tho when i was 11 and thought it was massive and exellent, at the time. im sure he'll have a really good time

I went when I was 9 on a school trip, it was really good. The ride I remember most is the wooden rollercoaster (I think it's called "Tonnerre de Zeus". There are quite a few other rollercoasters as well, I mostly remember the rollercoasters because I don't really like them but it was good in the end :)
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Parc_Asterix - has a few of the rides listed
