Hi from France !

I live in the southern France, between Toulouse and Andorra, I must say I have a good quality of life here, better that in the big cities. France is a beautiful and nice country !! Also, it's not expensive in this part of my region ( food, clothes etc..)
However, I know America a little ( I've family there since 20 year ago), I saw California and I loved it ! Really ! Beautiful and nice country too !!
I noticed also that, American people is welcoming with french people ...

Have a nice day and Happy New Year !!

Cat.

You must go! It's an adventure waiting to happen on many a mind's list. It's not just the fine cuisine that captures your soul but the people, the sights, sounds and sense of house & home comforts. Please go! On my list of the 10 nicest places to go/see... France rates a four! My first is Ireland - it holds a green unlike any other shade of green, it's a green you see no where else.

Anyway in regards to France, you'll have to visit to see what I am but I know that you too will fall in love! Bon voyage!

i've been there four times. most of the time i stayed in paris, which is a really nice place. the place is full of beautiful architecture and is very romantic. the hotels there are quite expensive, i lived in a 2-3 stars hotel which was quite nice. the food there is expensive too, it's even a bit more expensive at madonald there.

I lived there for three months between September and December. It was really good apart from the fact that I was an au pair and I had thee worst child in the world to look after!!! I lived just outside of Paris which was super because it was easy to get in to the city center (public transport is fantastic... even when they go on strike!) The food is fairly normal to food that you would get in Britain and supermarkets sell virtually everything that I could get back home. The people were really nice to me as well which was good (I'm Scottish) and Paris is just an amazing city to get to know. It has so much to offer to everyone and anyone! If you want to know more, feel free to email me.

My father is French, and I have been several times, to Paris, and Marseilles where my family is... I also lived there for 6 mo to try and better my French. And well the scenery is beautiful, and I imagine the north with all the WW ll history must be amazing, Versailles is unbelievable, and as for Marseilles it is a beautiful Mediterranean City. The food is great, although a bit greasy... the bread is amazing, I could eat a whole baguette. the cheeses too are great. and well the only thing with seafood is they don't clean it for you, so you get your fish with the head on it, or the shrimp with antennas and stuff that is gross. and don't ask them to clean it cause they won't. which leads me to my last point. The french are very "special" people. Some are so nice and helpful, but the vast majority are rude and feel superior... even if you try to speak to them in their language they will not go out of their way to help you... oh and dogs are allowed almost everywhere... and they crapp in the street and no one cleans it up, so when you are walking watch out!!!

Hello From France
The best place to go/live is either in the town of Flayosc in the Province(south of France) PAris is also pretty, such as The Eiffel Tower(Tour Eiffel in french) or the Arc de triomphe. The food is good too!
Good Bye and HAppy Voyage!
Au revoir et Bon Voyage

I've lived here for about 3 years now. most of the people are very friendly, and they love it if an English person speaks in french (even if they aren't very good).
if you just talk very loudly and slowly in English to them, they get kinda pissed off (obviously).
the food it good too, sea food i the best if you like it, and most people are really laid back. its not all rush rush rush 24/7. (they have like a 2 hour lunch break, so from 12pm to 2pm, everything is closed. :p)
hope you com over one day, its a really nice place :)

I study in Strasbourg, France (but close to Germany)

You can visit a lot of things by walking (the city is not too big):
the cathedral, place Kléber, Petite France, opéra, the ill river, the museums and typical alasacian houses...
and a lot of (good enough to forget your diet...) alsacian food...

I went there once, just driving through, mind you, and they surrendered. Not sure why. Could it have been my German car?
