Have a connecting flight in Paris with 8 hours lag time.?
My question: I am flying onto Barcelona and have roughly an 8 hour layover at Charles de Gaulle, would I have enough time to run into Paris if only for a couple of hours?
Thanks so much!!
Well if you take the RER which serves Charles de Gaule airport directly, you need 1 hours to be in the center of Paris. It is easy, cheap and the fastest way to get to downtown Paris (around 10 Euros). Check www.ratp.fr. Do not miss this opportunity, visit Paris even for 4 or 5 hours. Check train schedule to avoid missing your next plane.

you should count 2 hours and a half both ways. so you will have around 3 or 4 hours to sea the city. Good idea. Do it!

Yes, you would. There is a bus that takes you from CDG directly into the centre of Paris for about 5 ot 6 euros. You could also take a train into the city. I believe the bus takes about an hour - you could also take a taxi for about 40 euros, and it should take about 20-25 minutes. There should be plenty of time to do a little shopping and a quick bite to eat.
