Yes I've been there 6 times on business and stayed for personal reasons too, although I don't speak French, I have always had a great time of it there as the people are warm and have time for you. The sights are fab too, and I should know from my trips there, I've done Madrid and London too but Paris is the one city which says come back time & time again. It has so many different corners and is curiously distinctive from the rest. Culture is one think, Art is another, and the monumental sights of the wide avenues and monumental attractions. Being in N.Y , the skyscrapers pale by comparison...
I really should brush up on my French as when in Rome one should always try to fit in. If you travel the world, Paris must not be missed.
You are in the right city and being married to a someone from there ( ? ) , you are certainly well placed to say good things about the city of light & romance. A wise choice, well done ! |

Wow! I am jealous. ;) I love Paris and have only been 2 times. I love the culture, the architecture, history, fashion, food, etc. I would love to live there - something about it calls me but I can't go anytime soon.

agreed. Paris really is the city of love. I went there and it was just like an adventure around every corner. All the monumants and old buildings were just beautiful. It was my 1st time in europe so we did all teh touristy stuff, but it was still Amazing..... i loved the eiffel tower at night, breath taking |

I ascended the Eiffel Tower inside the Paris Casino in Vegas last January.. I was there to witness the Wedding of my Nephew. Talk about a spectacular view of the Vegas Strip.. WOW! |

Yes I have, and other then the historical sites I didn't like it. I wouldn't go back. Its an over rated New York. I loved Germany more, even Luxembourg was better in my opinion. The best places in France is the smaller towns. If you want the real culture of that country. |
