I've travelled to Paris six times, currently planning my seventh.

There is so much to see and do in Paris. A few of my favorites: wandering among the masterpieces in the Louvre, eating a crepe under the illuminated Eiffel Tower, cruising along the Seine River at night, attending mass at Notre Dame, bartering with the sellers at the flea market, shopping at La Defense, staring in awe at all the van Goghs in the Musee d'Orsay, strolling the gardens at the Rodin Museum, looking at a panoramic picture of Paris from the steps of Sacre-Couer, paying my respects to Napoleon, window shopping on the Champs-Elysees, having a cup of tea and people-watching at an outdoor cafe, dreaming about what I wish I could afford at Galeries Lafayette, hunting for graves in Pere Lachaise Cemetery (Jim Morrison, Chopin, Oscar Wilde)...I love getting lost in Paris, just wandering the streets, discovering new things each year.

Sure have and let's see I enjoyed Notre Dame, Eifel Tower, The Louve Museum, and Versailles. I liked Versailles the best it is a great palace on the outskirts of Paris it is where the King Louis the 14 lived and louis the 16 lived with Marie Antoinette before they got their head cutoff and where the treaty to end world war 1 was signed.

go to la samartaine department store take the elevator to the top then climb the staircase to the roof where there is an awesome view of paris. i also loved jardin luxembourg there is so many cool public places there. i even liked the people there met some pretty cool folks.

I love the Marche Aux Puces, it's a really non-touristy outdoor flea market with really cool and inexpensive stuff.

I have been there twice, but both have only been for a couple of days. The Louvre is obviously really nice if you're into art and history. But if you go, you should dedicate AT LEAST a day to it. There is just so much to see. The other big tourist spots are okay, too: The Eiffel Tower, L'Arc de Triomphe, La Sacre Coeur (the church in Montmartre). Somewhere close to the Eiffel tower there are these boat tours that are pretty nice. If you're into shopping there is Champs Elysees. A trip to Versailles (just outside the city) is always worth it. There is even Eurodisney. There's much much more, too.

Sometimes, though, it's just nice to walk around (beware of gypsies, though), have a cafe au lait or go to a nice restaurant.

Paris is a great place to visit. I went there last year. You must see the Eiffel Tower (and the enhanced security around it). Take a bateau ride from the foot of the Eiffel tower to get a general feel for all of Paris. It is a great place to visit museums (like the Louvre), cathedrals (like Notre Dame), basilicas (Sacre Coeur) nightlife (Moulin Rouge) and shop on Grand Boulevard. There are a million things to do and see.

If you take public transportation, be aware that there are gypsy kids that love to pickpocket. Check yourself if you are bumped into (happened to me). also, Parisiens do not believe in taking turns on line. There is no such thing.

One word of advice, they tack on 30% surcharge for tourists when eating! Try to find a hotel that serves you at least breakfast, or buy your own food in grocery stores and patisseries.

yes i visited paris in 1974, i was just a little little boy, seems my father was in the army and stationed in germany at the time, and we took a family trip to paris.... by car. imagine that, but anyway even though i was only about 6 years old, i absolutely loved it, the food, the eifel tower (however you spell that), and that big thing that looks like an arch, but i remember the hotel and the food was excelent, and the feilds of poppies, and all the beautiful churches and castels, oh this question realy takes me back. if you have a chance to go, id say go for it, it is beautiful

Yes I've been to Paris two weeks ago and I loved the city. Is a great place for the people how are en-loved( like me) :) sacre-coeur was my favorite place

I have visited Paris many times, I did not love it until my sister moved there and I spent a couple of months there and made friends.

There are so many different places to see and everybody's taste is different but I think that you must go see Basilique du SacrÃ© Coeur in the Montmartre area. MusÃ©e d'Orsay is a wonderful museum in a train station. The night cruise down the Seine is a little cheesy because it is so "done" but actually it is wonderful (bring your own bottle of wine and enjoy the lights).
The are hundreds of other museums and churches to see but you should also wander aimlessly; because of the fabulous Metro you will never be lost.

Aside from the usual tourist sights my favorite place in Paris is Aux Trois Mailletz at 56 rue Galand in the 5th arr. I'm there most nights that I'm in Paris.

LOVED IT!! It's funny, someone just posted a question about what would you buy if you wanted to splurge on something for yourself and I answered "a week in Paris"

To me, the best part of Paris (I've been there twice) is just wandering the streets and exploring all of the great little boutiques and cafes. If this is your first time, you have to do all of the usual things - Eiffel Tower, Louvre, Notre Dame. One place you definitely want to check out is Sacre Couer in the Montmartre section. Personally, I think it's the most beautiful church in Paris (and possibly the world)

If you have the time, take a day trip to the Palace at Versailles. Not only is the palace beautiful, but the gardens and the fountains are absolutely stunning.

Ignore the people who will tell you the French hate tourists. I have found them to be very warm and generous, especially if you make the effort to learn a little bit of their language. Have a wonderful time!! I'm jealous, but I'll get back there before too much longer. Bon Voyage!!

Yes, we went on vacation to Europe three years ago. We loved the Eiffle Tower. There's plenty of tour busses that take you around and show you the sites. We stayed in the opera district I guess you would call it. The only problem was that the guy in the room next to us watched porn all night long and the TV volume was loud. Our 12 year old son was with us and all we could do was turn up CNN as loud as we could.

I agree with Christina D...Sacre Couer is so beautiful! It's positioned on a hill that looks over the whole of Paris. You can take some really lovely photos there (but not inside the Church...I got told off for that!)
