Additional info: the link is the France Telecom service. There are other phone providers (Free, Neuf, etc.), but all fixed phone providers share their directory listings (by law) so you can search on the link he gives.

However, if a person asked not to be listed (red list), you cannot find him anywhere. Also, some mobile phone provider to not share their listing (it is not mandatory) so if the person only has a mobile you might not find him.

Every region has its own phonebook and yellowpages combined.
You should ask someone who lives there to look it up for you.Call a postoffice,they are most helpful and have all that or check a digitalized phonebook.I would not know where to look for that though.
