How 2 write "your welcome" in french?

Show all answers

Muddy
Je vous en prie or Je t'en prie
Il n'y a pas de quoi
De rien

I live in France, and I hear "je t'en prie" (informal) or "je vous en prie" (formal) more than the other two.

Referring to the answer a little further down: "A bientot" means "see you soon."

stuball
I think you can respond, "de rien," which I believe basically means, " it's nothing," or "don't mention it."

u say "enchanter"to welcome someone into ur home etc.
and when someone says "thank u" we say "de rien" which literraly means "its nothing"
bonne chance et au revoire!

for you're welcome it's: je vous en prie,
though "de rien", as mentioned, is good as well.

if you're saying simply "Welcome!", it's "Bienvenue!", or slightly more formally, "Je vous souhaite le bienvenue" (though this is not often really used).

shortstuff8379
You're Welcome = vous êtes bienvenu.

To do sentences/words like this, you can just use an online translator, like this:

the previous answers give an impersonal response, or have literal translations which are not necessarily coretct. The more personal way would be A Bientot, or C'est rien meaning it or that's nothing Excuse the lack of the appropriate accents as i do not have french fonts installed

1. bienvenu; "you are welcome to" (infinitif ) libre à vous de (infinitif ); "you are welcome to it" c'est à votre service; "(you are) welcome!" de rien!, il n'y a pas de quoi!;

2. bienvenue féminin , aussi sens figuré accueil masculin ;

3. souhaiter la bienvenue à; accueillir (aussi sens figuré ).
