You can take the night train from Rome to Paris- but its is a long ride. But you can book a first class sleeping coach. Or you can drive but you need to sleep one night (preferably in Switzerland in a cute hotel with a Michelin 1 star restaurant) along the way.

trains for both Florence to Rome vice versa, and Rome to Paris.

Take a sleeper train.
I've just taken a look at the SNCF (French railways) web site. A sleeper train (second class cheapo ticket) costs 80 euros. That's about $100. It includes a "couchette" i.e sheet bag and covers. It leaves Paris at 7.05 pm and arrives in Rome at 9.50 am. So you save on a night in a hotel.
It's better than a plane because it goes from city centre to city centre. You just turn up at the station and get onto the train, no getting to the airport, standing in line to check in, sitting in a lounge waiting to board the plane, etc.

You can always take the train. The most simple and common transport in Europe. From Rome to Florece you can take a train which should cost you around 40E and should last about 90min. There's always a cheaper train but much longer the duration.

Then, you can also take the train to Paris. Firenze-Milano-Paris, or if you wish to see a bit of the french riviera, you can go from Firenze-Pisa-Ventimiglia-
Monaco-Nice-Cannes-Marseille-Paris.
Dont think that you'll have to change train everytime. Maybe only once.
