We live in Thionville and we paid 40 euros per stair to a local guy. Bois means wood. You can also find wood in Luxembourg at CASTORAMA (they sell it by the stair) but it is more expensive. Try posting an add in your commune or at your local bakery. If you are close to Thionville, I can give you the phone number for our supplier.

You can also get a permit from your commune and go cut the wood by yourself.

I think all the trees in that area have already been cut down to make way for development. Good news is you don;t have to worry about wild animals, they don't exist there anymore because they have no where to live. Bad news is if you want a piece of wood to burn, then get out your pocket book, it's gonna cost you.

It's bois de chauffage. The price should really depend on how much you're looking for - a Giant or Carrefour with camping supplies should have small amounts for single camping trips.
