How do the French in Paris treat overweight people?

Do they laugh outloud and torment like children or do they ignore it for the most part. Im talking about like size 16 not like 300 pounds

I'm on the chunky side and have never noticed anyone in Paris treating me with anything other than courtesy. In fact, on my last trip, I felt like I was a man magnet because so many men hit on me!

Just be polite and courteous and you will almost always get the same in return.

Retrogirl - im assuming you are American or English ........... and it is dumb stupid comments like yours that just make it easier for the French to have a bad opinion of us.

So if you dont have anything constructive to say, just pipe down.

For the ASKER...... do not worry about it, i am 220 lbs from England and on the porky side......... but the Parisians treat you how you treat them!! Just be polite, and try to throw in a bit of French speaking and they will appreciate it, no need to worry ;-)

They don't treat you by your looks(unless you wear dirty clothes etc.) but by your approach towards them. If you say Bonjour and be polite you are well treated like anywhere else on this planet.
