How do you get to Omaha Beach from Paris?
I'm visiting Europe with my dad and brother for spring break. We want to visit the D-Day beaches. How do we get to the beaches from Paris? We want to also visit St. Mere Eglise, Pointe Du Hoc, St. Lo, Caen, and Cherbourg along with the d-day beaches. Please help me out. Thanks.
Take the train from Paris St. Lazare station to Caen.
Once in Caen you can take a regular municipal bus that will stop by each of the D-Day sites. A free map of the bus routes can be obtained from the Caen tourist office on the Place Saint Pierre. Given that a guided bus tour from Caen will cost you 59 euros the savings with a self guided tour are substantial.

Well you can go by train or rental car (about 2-4 hours) or you can go with a Day tour from Paris.
Below is a lik with more info.

I agree with the tour buses but I was staying in Caen, which is a 2 hour train from Paris and from Caen I took a train to Bayeux and from Bayeux a bus to Omaha Beach. Plan a whole entire day (or two) for all those you want to see. Even from Caen it took us a whole day. Good luck and I must say It was BEAUTIFUL and full of interesting history and the museums are amazing.
