How far can i see from the eiffel tower on a clear day?

on a clear day, how many miles can i see from the top platform on the eiffel tower, and what will i see? can i see the ocean? the alps?

Take the square root of one and a half times the height of the Eiffel Tower(in feet) and that is how many miles you can see. I'm not kidding. For instance, if the tower is 600 feet tall, add 300, getting 900 = 30 miles for seeing things on the ground. Objects sticking out of the ground, like buildings, or mountains can be seen over thirty miles away.

Hi,,, all around Paris,,, about 8 to 10 miles .... no ocean ,,, no alps,,, that i remember.... sorry.... it is neet to go though,,, have fun...

you can see about 12 to 14 miles! it's a great view! no you can't see he alps or the ocean!

you get to see all of Paris! and past it, part of Versailles on a really clear day!
at night you can see almost all of the major buildings of paris!

it's a beautiful sight!

I think it would depend whether you mean at the top or the bottom :-))

Not that far because of the pollution. Also, Paris is at the bottom of a basin, that gives you a shorter horizon. At least you'll see people like ants below, that's cool.
