How is Easter celebrated in Paris, France?

Are businesses closed?

They have "Easter Nazis" instead of easter bunnies. When the parents say to their kids "Easter Nazis is here!", the kids raise their hands up in the air with white flags, and beg for the parents who are wearing german uniform for candies.

Stores are closed on Good Friday, Easter Sunday and Easter Monday but are open on the Saturday between Good Friday and Easter. Unlike in the US, they don't demand a long weekend. Going to church is part of the commemoration. The bakeries bake cakes decorated often with a chocolate bird on top. Sometimes, the cake is soaked in liquor (Grand Marnier, for example). I did not get the impression that the Easter Bunny is a major character in France (as it is in the states). Overall, a solemn holiday, not a huge festival like Christmas.

most shops and offices are closed on sunday and monday.
Folkore part : kids seek for chocolate eggs, bells and hens in gardens. They're not brought by bunnies (nor nazis...), but by the Easter bells coming from Rome (catholic tradition)

Easter is great in France. It's a big family thing and egg hunt is absolutely compulsory!

They tend to have chocolate bells, fish, hens, etc filled with more delicious chocolate. The it's a big meal with lamb on the menu.

There's not a real celebration but the sunday and the monday are no worked days (but some shops and many restaurant are open for example).
