I would love to know what it's like. This is one of my dreams in life, I think it would be one of the most romantic places ever.

What can I say about Paris? Only that it is the most amazing place I have ever been.
My favorite place is the Louvre. It is amazing. Especially if you read The Da Vinci Code(or saw the movie).
I reccommend the crepe stand at the bottom of the Eiffel Tower. It is pretty much amazing. The crepe au sucre is the best. You gotta try it.
Also, be sure to watch the Eiffel Tower sparkle at night. It is the most beautiful thing I have ever seen. And I have seen a lot of beautiful places.
Don't stay at the Libertel Touraine though. It is not what its made out to be in the pictures.
Be sure to see the sacre cour at night and take the bateau mouche tour as well(night time is the best for this). The most famous bridge in all of Paris(as the locals call it) is pretty cool too. Don't forget the mini statue of liberty.
I could go on and on about Paris but I'm gonna get around to other people's questions... I'll check back for more Paris related questions if you have any more. My biggest piece of advice is GO, SEE THE CITY FOR YOURSELF!!! You'll love it.

I lived there for 6 years. It is wonderful. Cold. You can wander the streets until the wee hours. People don't pay attention to what you are doing. They do prefer it if you speak French...
Eat French food, stay in the cheaper hotels. You can eat all you want of French bread, Croissants, coffee, jam, butter. Awesome.
Sit in the parks and watch the people. Walk the streets and see the entertainers. Walk the Champs Elysee in the rain. Gorgeous. Go and just walk, walk, walk. It is easy to find your way around. Take a good map. Sacre Coeur. Climb all the stairs and visit all the environs. The artists are all set up right nearby. Walk the Seine and see all the painters. Paris is all you dream that it is.

It's a very large city and very fast paced. Before you visit do a lot of research. Order some brouchures from the tourist office and buy a guide book....maybe rent a travel dvd....all of this will make your visit more enjoyable. I've been twice and loved it even more the second time. Can't wait to go back again. Once you go it gets in your blood and it stays with you forever.
