Since there are no non-stop commercial flights from San Diego-Lindbergh Int'l Airport (SAN) to Paris-Charles de Gaulle Int'l Airport (GIG), you'll have to make a connecting flight from a major hub airport. The total trip time will vary from 12 hours and 53 minutes to 14 hours and 55 minutes depending on your choice of airlines. The quickest trip time from SAN to CDG is 12 hours and 53 minutes with Delta Air Lines. All departure and arrival times are local.

However, this option is only available from Sunday to Friday and you'll only have 30 minutes on the ground in Cincinnati (CVG) before your connecting flight departs for Paris.

Delta flight 48 departs SAN at 11:57 and arrives in CVG at 19:00 with flight time of 4:03. Then after 30 minutes in CVG, DL44 departs at 19:30 and arrives in CDG at 09:50 for a flight time of 8:20.

Another option with Delta that has a daily option is through Atlanta-Hartsfield (ATL) with total trip time of 14:35. Delta flight DL1570 departs at 08:20 and arrives in ATL at 15:27 for a flight time of 4:07. In ATL, you'll have almost 2 hours on the ground before DL22 departs at 17:25 and arrives in CDG at 07:55 for a flight time of 8:30.

American Airlines has the next quickest with 13 hours and 5 minutes with 40 minutes on the ground in Dallas / Ft. Worth Airport (DFW). This option is available everyday of the week with American flight AA1782 departing SAN at 11:50 and arriving in DFW at 16:45. Then AA48 departs DFW at 17:25 and arrives the next day in CDG at 09:55.

If you want to have more time on the ground, the next option is through New York's JFK airport with total trip time of 14 hours and 55 minutes with 2 hours and 10 minutes on the ground.

United Airlines has the 3rd fastest with 13 hours and 37 minutes with 1 hour and 20 minutes on the ground in Chicago O'Hare (ORD). This option is available everyday with UA794 departing SAN at 11:03 and arriving in ORD at 16:57 after a flight time of 3:54. Then UA942 leaves ORD at 18:16 and arrives in CDG at 09:40 for a flight time of 8:24.

US Airways has a daily trip time of 13 hours and 40 minutes through Philadelphia Int'l (PHL) with 1 hour and 20 minutes on the ground.

Northwest Airlines has an option that is only available on weekdays (Monday thru Friday) going through Detroit (DTW) with total trip time of 13 hours and 50 minutes with 1 hours and 15 minutes on the ground.

Continental Airlines has a daily option with total trip time of 14 hours and 15 minutes through Houston Intercontinental (IAH) with 2 hours on the ground.

The actual flight time will depend on the winds, speed of the aircraft and the actual route the aircraft flies.

If you took Contintental from SAN to CDG, with one stop, the total travel time is 14-15 hours. I simply looked on http://www.travelocity.com , plugged in fake travel dates, and let the search engine do the work for me.

Well, that depends on how you travel. If you walk it might take more than one day. But then, you would have to be a born again christian so you could walk on water.

IIf you are flying with commercial airlines it depepends on your connections. LAX to Paris takes about 9 hrs. If you fly out of SD you have to either fly up to LA first or any of the other hub airports such as Atlanta or Dallas. SD to Atlanta to CDG will take about 14-15 hours of travel time and that doesn't include lay-over time. Make sure you give yourself at least a 3 hrs lay-over on the way back btw.
