You might find this website useful as a start: http://www.ambafrance-us.org/visitingfrance/costs.asp

The generally high costs of France will be offset to some extent by the fact that students have a somewhat privileged postion. there are many places which offer student discounts.

Moreover students have organziations like CROUS which provide a variety of services and even run low cost cafeterias where you can get a full meal for 2.60 euros.

Check their website: http://www.crous-paris.fr/

I assume you speak fluent French since trying to be a student in France without that ability would verge on insanity.

If you live in a University hostel the monthly rent is about 140€, add to thant another 50€ for travel(bus passes etc..), Food another 150€...the rest you can calculate.

Mafalda est maman
it depends on the city!!! if you live in Paris it's 3 or 4 times more expensive than a town like Dijon or Angers!

it all depends on the location...............Paris, lyon, marseille, bordeaux???????
Because there are differences between all those places in term of cost. The main difference is of course the rent !!!!

If u can be more specific, I could probably help u !!!
