Entry to the Cathedral itself is free. Notre Dame is a functioning church.
However, there is a charge to enter the treasury inside the cathedral, to climb the Cathedral tower (7,50 €), or to visit the Museuim of the Cathedral Crypt (3,30 €).

It is a roman catholic church, not a museum. No admission is charged.
There will be donation boxes if you want to contribute to the poor or for the upkeep of the property or light a candle but this is all optional.

Hi, great question! I was curious so I went there today (I'm about 10 minutes away). The current cost is 12 euros (about 20 U.S. dollars). This allows you everything you need: access to the "relics" (the true cross of Jesus, the "crown of thorns", and the view from the tower where quasimodo lived). If you get there on Friday you get to see the danse spectale of "esmeralda" and her entourage.
Jesus' cross is amazing to see! It is just a small piece and it is burned but it is still amazing.
The crown of thorns is incredible. It is kept in a pure gold case.
The tower of quadimodo and esmeralda's dance were really fun! The light show is spectacular!!!
Don't miss the dancing show! It starts at 9pm in the summers.
