Diesel is a little over one Euro per liter (maybe 1.10.) For toll roads, the cost depends on how far you travel within the toll portion. Here is a reference you can use to get an approximate idea: http://www.beyond.fr/travel/autoroutes.html

Diesel is cheaper then gas in France as the government taxes gas a lot higher to encourage the use of diesel. I don't remember the exact price though but I remember gas something like 4x as expensive as in the States. For toll roads I would advise using mappy.com as it calculates the cost for a route as well as giving you directions.

Diesel was around 1.04 and 1.15 Euros for a liter the last time I checked (last weekend). The price varies according to the gas station you choose.
The ones in supermarkets are generally cheaper, but there are now unmanned gas stations that have very interesting prices.
The most expensive ones are on the motorways, so make sure you fill your tank before entering them.

I have no idea about the current cost of Diesel however the cost of fuel is usually a little bit less than over here. Try and buy fuel in towns, especially at the supermarkets, as they are so much cheaper than motorway stations. Toll roads cost differing prices but the most I have ever paid was about 8euros. It is possible to avoid motorways altogether, but it does add considerable time to your journey. Bonne chance.
