How much will two days in Paris cost?

I will be in Paris for two days one night. Has anyone been there recently that can tell me how much I can expect to pay for the basic things... round trip on train from CDG airport to city, an ok hotel, a few sight seeing things (eiffel tower, Champs-Élysées, Sainte Chapelle, pantheon, louvre, and/or notre dame), metro rides, a few moderate meals?

BTW which of those sights would you reccomend, how many can i do in 1 and 1/2 days?

Thanks guys!

I lived there recently. You can take the RER train from CDG to the city. I think it was about 8 euros 1 way. Once you get into the city, you need metro passes. Each pass is about 1.20 Euro or so. Or you can buy a Paris Visite pass for 2 days for 19 euros. Eiffel Tower costs about 12 euros to walk all the way up. Champs Elysees is free to walk down. The louvre is about 9 euros, but if you are a student, bring your student card and you can usually get a discount (as with all museums in Paris). Notre dame is free (as are all churches in Paris). You can buy a sandwhich in the boulangeries for about 3 euros, or go to the grocery stores and get a premade sandwhich for 1.50 euro. Sit down cafes are always expensive. I think the cheapest hotel I ever stayed at was about 90E a night.

If I were there 2 days, I would: Ride the train in, drop off the stuff at the hotel. I would first take the metro up to la chapelle since it's out of the way. Then take the metro to the montmartre area, and visit The Sacred Heart Church. You get a beatiful view of Paris at the top of the mountain. Then I would walk down to Pigalle (while taking in the Montmartre part of paris with all the art and vendors) and see the Moulin Rouge Area. I would take the metro from Pigalle to Franklin D and walk up the Champs Elysees to Charles de Gaule Etoile and see the Arc de Trionphe. I would metro it down from there to Trocadero and walk over the to Eiffel Tower and climb it for another fantastic night view. I'd get a crepe and sit there and soak it all in, and call it a day (or go back to the Champs and get a drink).
The next morning (early) I'd get up and go to the Louvre. I would spend no more than 2 hours there and see the mona lisa, the winged victory, the venus de milo, and other really important works. I'd walk through the park and get another crepe or sandwich and sit in the park for a few, either metro it or walk it down to the hotel de ville (a famous hotel and shopping area-and they might have a neat ice skating rink there). If you are into modern art, the George Pompidou is really neat. That's close. The Musee D'Orsay has famous works from Dali, Monet, Manet, Picasso, and it used to be a grand train station, so I love that museum. I actually like that one more than the Louvre, but the Louvre is more famous. I'd walk down the rue de Rivoli to St Paul and have lunch there, in the Marais (my new favorite part of Paris). I would then metro it to Saint-Michel, and spend time in the Latin Quarter the rest of the day. I'd see the Notre Dame and the Pantheon, and have dinner on the little street of greek restaurants by Place Saint Michel on Rue de la Huchette. It makes for a very busy 2 days but if you go in that order, you can save time travelling around. I wouldn't even waste time with sit down restaurants, but would run in to the bakeries and just buy a wonderful Jambon-gruyere sandwich (ham and a spreadable cheese) or a saussison cornichon (salami and tiny french pickles). Or there's always crepe stands-EVERYWHERE. Breakfast try their Pain au Chocolat-chocolate croissants. So good.
I hope that helps!

You are going alone right? If so a minimum of 150 euros....this is with hotel price included.

I went last in July but i went with my sister it was around 230 euros over 2 night stay. Plus all the meals and sight seeing. Once you get to Paris, you will know where to go, obviously go the obvious sights ....recommend you to go on the batobus it cost £12 and goes along the beautiful river seine and the boat stops at all the best sights in Paris.

Also when you do find your hotel, take a long walk around the area to get a feel of Paris. Sit on one of the benches on the boulevards, it is interesting viewing ;)
