How to make the best of your three days stay in Paris, with teenage children, first visit?

- Notre Dame
- La conciergerie (I visit it as a kid and love it)
- Tour Eiffel
- Montmartre
- CitÃ© des sciences Porte de la Vilette (Science city:it is terrific, esp. for kids, you got to play with stuffs while learing new things about science. They also put some explanation in English)
- Fontaine des arts near Centre Pompidou (just go there fewx minutes to see it. It's funny, and people love it)
- if we're talking about teenage girls then shooping as well in the "Big Shops" part Auber-Havre Caumartin-Opera)
- walking around the Ile de la CitÃ© (old part around Notre Dame)

Now I put 2 reservations about Versailles and Le Louvre. Versailles if you think you can make it, then absolutely do not hesitate and go there first chance you got (outside Paris but very easy to reach with public transportation RER C), but it will probably take the full day or at least 2/3 of it (and don't forget to walk around the gardens).

As for le Louvre, it would be a shame to miss it, but I can tell you from previous experience that 1- you won't see the whole stuff, not even the half of it in one day, 2- it is completely exhausting to go there, esp for teenagers

Also, let's not forget that the first sunday of the month, all the public museums are free in Paris.

I would start from Ile de la Cite (Notre Dame de Paris), then walk along Rivoli. You can look at Louvres from outside if you don't have time to see it inside (and my favorite museum is Musee D'Orsay, close to Louvres, but on the left bank)

Instead of Cite de Sciences, I would take you kids to Palais Decouverte - it'll take less time and is closer to major attractions (it is in Grande Palais, I believe).

Visit Tour d'Effel and Trocadero. If weather is nice and your children like to be near the water, take a river cruise (bateaux muches), take a picture with both Tour d"effel and French copy of Statue of Liberty on the background.

I don't think Versailles is worth a trip at this time of the year - fountaines aren't working and it'll take entire day.

What are you planning to do at night? Paris is famous for its jazz clubs and cabaret-style shows.

If you want to eat at a non-fast food restaurant, keep in mind that lunch will easily take more than an hour and dinner - more than two hours. It's an experience of its own, if you have time for that.

three days not long go to the arch de triump (sp) Louvre, and do the eifel tower its pretty close together you should be able to do that all in one day-

This year in september, i was with my children in Paris for 3 days ,too.First day we have a Sena cruise, for one hour, then we visit Tour Eiffel, this take 2 hours, is better when the sun go down.The views of boulevards are super.Then you can go to the Triomphe Arch,you can see very nice at every 60 minutes the Eiffel Tourn laser lighting from The Arch de Triomphe.
Next day at 9 we are going to LOUVRE, WITH 2 childs we stay around 11 a clock.If is good time you can go to Notre Dame is not too far.
Then for one days we are going to Disneyland(be careful in Weekend too much people)

You can take a backpack with water and something for eating.

Water in disney are 3,60 euro 500 ml , and hot dog around 7 euros

I actually did Paris in three days the first time I was there... I started off by visiting Notre-Dame and the old houses on Ile de la CitÃ© (you can actually climb into the towers of the cathedrals - your teenagers should think that's cool). Then, you go up to the north shore and visit Le Louvre... while keeping in mind that you could be in the museum for a week and not have seen everything! Btw, a tip - if your kids decide they're hungry/thirsty, get them something *before* going to the museum... the restaurants and shops near the Louvre are EXPENSIVE. Since you're near the Louvre, you also look at the Champs-Ã‰lysÃ©es and the Arc de Triomphe.

The second day - if you so desire - you take the RER down to Versailles and visit the palace and gardens (tell your kids that it's here that Kirsten Dunst, er Marie-Antoinette lived) ;).

The third day - you go look at the southwestern part of the city, including the Eiffel Tower, and the Invalids where Napoleon is buried.
