Really depends on how much money youve got, Paris is very expensive. But you should do the ususal.. the Louvre, Notre Dame, Eiffel Tower, and L'Arc de Triomphe.
Check out some of these

Beside sightseeing, which you will love probably more than any other city in the world, try to have everyday activities as if you live there. That's one of the best ways of enjoying Paris, from your morning breakfast to your daily outings. The Parisian lifestyle is in itself one of the interesting things about the city. Needless to say I totally disagree with the post (I think "the dutch") who said that Paris is overrated, etc... If there are a lot of Paris scenes in movies, clearly there is a reason for it: It's awsome!
I would guide you but I don't know much about you. You might want to check out my Paris travel advice Web site: http://www.myparistrips.com
I have tons of info on Paris and specific advice on restaurants, coolest nightclubs, famous cafes, sighseeing help, etc... Oh, I also have articles on how to get by if your French is poor. Wish you an amazing time! |

Ride around on the Metro until you get lost. Find your way back to wherever you're staying. Best way in the world to get acquainted with a new place. |

Forget all the negative people and do everything while your there. Go where you want and do what you want and have the best time you can. Just watch out for the pick pockets, especially in the more tourist places. Was there a year ago and saw some at Notre Dame, not many at Eiffel but then they had the Paris national guard walking around. Hope you have a blast. Be safe. |

The Pompidou Centre is wonderful - unless you really love classical art I would definitely suggest that over The Louvre.
The basilica Sacre Coeur is the most beautiful church - lined with gold mosaic and on one of the highest hills in Paris with amazing views.
Rue Moufftard is a favourite food market of mine.
Also, if you are an American it is your patriotic duty to visit the mini Statue of Liberty (remember yours was a gift from the French!).
And the person who said you can have a great time by just wandering round was spot on - Paris is a very managable city.
ps Ice cream at Berthillion on Ile de la Cite is essential 8-) |

Don't forget about night life in Paris. You will find some of the greatest lounge bars around. There is all the usual, of course, such a Buddha Bar, Bar Fly, Nirvana Lounge, Barrio Latino. One of my favorite restaurant / club/ lounge was Le Cabaret, near the Louvre.
There is so much to see in Paris... make sure you wear comfortable shoes, take a map, a camera and walk around the streets, use the metro everywhere, you will never get lost. There is a metro at every corner of any street in Paris.
If you like Impressionist Art, definitely go to the Musee D'Orsay. If you like sculpture and in particular Rodin, check out his museum, not far from the Invalides, where Napoleon is buried.
All in all, have a great time and be open to anything that comes your way once you are there. It will be a memorable time! |

You will definitely want to take in the "biggie" attractions like the Eiffel Tower, The Louvre and the Musee d'Orsay. However, you should realize that Paris is so beautiful and so full of interesting sights and people that you could skip all the major attractions and walk around the city just taking it all in and never feel like you missed anything. |

Oh my dear sweet boss in the sky, not another floosie who wants to go to Paris. I'm sorry to burst your bubble (actually I'm not but anyway), Paris in overrated. Think about it, everything there is to know abut the damn city you already seen in movies, or you've been told by your best friend (cause i know you have another spawn just like you than dreams to go to the land of easy men). Shuga, drop dead (in a metaphorical kid of way) and go to Amsterdam... |
