I suggest you land in Paris and then take another plane to either Bordeaux or Biarritz. Then I'm afraid you'll have to rent a car.
This region is beautiful I'm confident you'll have a great time! If you have enough time make a day trip to Bordeaux it's a wonderful city!

Fly to Paris, you might land at Charles de Gaulle airport. Then, you can either fly with Air France to Biarritz, which is the closest airport to Hossegor from Orly airport.
Otherwise TGVs (bullet trains) daily run from Charles de Gaulle to Bordeaux, from which TER (regional trains) can be taken to Hossegor.

Direct into birratz is best i would have thought ryan air fly there from heaps of destinations including stanstead.

Definitely Paris! From Paris you can take the TGV to Bayonne, and from Bayonne, there are buses that go to Hossegor.

Paris and then take a flight/train to Biarritz. Barcelona is further away and communication system in Spain are not as convenient and frequent as it is in France

Desolé (afraid), but Barcelona is Spain not France!
However I suggest you Paris CHarles de Gaulle Airport...
