the cheapest place is an area named pigalle. i was able to find hotels for $30 a night. since they are such low budget, they dont advertise on the net. if you want to book in advance, go to st christophers. then once you get there, walk around pigalle and find something else for the remainder of your stay. |

Use VRBO.com I have used it in Paris twice, with a wonderful experience each time. Last summer I rented a 1 bedroom flat near the Louvre, arr. 1 and it was perfect just for myself. I have just returned from paris 3 days ago, spent a week there in a 2 bedroom flat near the Pantheon arr. 5. Again, a great experience, owner very honest and truthful. In both cases, owner provided great tourist info, including a booklet, very helpful, In English. From taxi cabs to cafe's!. My experience in Paris has been awesome because of the renting of a flat, and living as a true parisian, not in an expensive hotel. Buy wine, cheese, pain, olives and enjoy!
It may take a lot of searching, but here are a few hints.
First get a map of the arrondissments in paris, and choose where you want to be at night. Then look at VRBO and seach in the areas in/around there. You may be able to find a place that is in between rental weeks, for a little added discount, or offer to clean it yourself instead of paying the cleaning fee. Also if you pay in cash when you get there, minus the deposit you need ahead of time, it may be discounted. |
