Hi from France !
Anyone will laugh of you ! .... We love american people too...
For say : where is the bathroom you must say : '' Où est la salle de bain ?'' , pronounce like '' oo ey lah salh duh ban ''.
Well, have a nice day and welcome to France,
Cat. |

take me with you and I'll translate = ) Actually you should really learn a few simple phrases, mostly "excuse me, do you speak english" which is "Pardon, parlez-vous anglais?" and you will get a lot further that way. Most people in Paris speak english, but you should not assume, it's very rude so if you ask politely in French they will be much nicer to you. |

YEAH! go there!
french people will love you if you pronounce their cheese's names correctly. |

I have some more for you :
- munster
- saint-paulin
- roquefort
- camembert
- coulommiers
- crottin de chavignole
- chaource
- brie
- fourme d'ambert
- saint-nectaire
- saint-maure
;-) Enjoy ! Dont worry if you ask politely to someone "Désolé, je ne parle pas Français, parlez vous anglais ?", you can speak English. We are quite fond of diplomatic formulations here.
For the site below, AOC is "Appelation d'Origine Controlée" = "Brand name from controled origine", which means e.g. that Roquefort can only come from Roquefort country. |
