You are a EU Citizen (even though the Brits are the only Country inside the EU not using the Euro, forgive you) and as a EU Citizen, you can practiacally travell, live and work, wherever you like. Whithin the EU.

Every UE citizen can go to any UE country...So, yes, you can go to France without visa...You can even work and live there if you wish...
