Depends on how long you will be staying. If you are a tourist or there on business and you stay less than 90 days, then all you need is a valid passport.

All you need is an American passport if you are planning to stay less than 90 days and you do not plan to work or enroll in any kind of educational program.

aum
No, just your passport.

No, just a passport. France is part of a visa waiver program with the US, so we don't need them. Have fun, go to the Musee De Orsay, much better than the Luvee. But go to the Luvee too, it is cool just in size.

For all the information, use this simple Internet tool given to you by the French Government:

http://www.diplomatie.gouv.fr/venir/visas/index.asp?anglais

Simply put the country you live in, the nationality on your passport, reason of your stay and the length.

Hope this will help,

You would need visa only if they ask for it. It would be a good idea to have a visa just in case.

You do not need a visa if you are just visiting.

☆BTriX☆
Nope, just a passport. Are just visiting or planning on living there?

They'll give you a visa. When I went, they just looked at my passport and stamped it with a 3 month tourist visa.

You don't have to do anything to get the visa, just arrive in the airport, see the immigration officer and give them your passport. They might ask you how long you're staying and how much money you have on you. Maybe even ask you what the purpose of your visit is.

no i dont think so

pknipping
No, but you will need a passport. I would bring a Visa/Mastercard, Amex card for your expenses. That way everything is insured and ou don't have to worry about the conversions

Husker
You can use Visa. American Express or Mastercard work there too. I do like the low interest rates on Visa.
