You've just got to go for it. Don't worry about whether the tense is correct, or whether you may make a mistake. I've found there are always people to help you if you try. There are always people who won't but we have them in English as well. |

You can find a french person living near you and exchange x hours of conversations in French agains x hours of .... (it's up to you, wether you can teach how to play the guitar with one's toes or something like that). |

Just try it!
You nead some bases first, but then just speak with anybody.
I think it`s the same anywhere, people are always pleased to see that you try to speak the language, then they`re gonna be more patient...
And read! Newspapers anything!
