What is the cheapest way, preferably less than £40?
None of the cheap airlines seem to go there from Bristol or Cardiff.
Anybody going that way then, can I cadge a lift?

Check out http://www.sncf.com (english available by lciking on flag in bottom left) - it would be fairly easy to fly into somewhere else in France and then get a train to Lyon

walk or cycle, they are both free and will keep you fit, if you leave about the 12th you should get there in good time!.

hmm you are right that none seem to go to Lyon.....you can still have a look at this site for some options in future as it has most of the cheap airlines.....
