eurostar

fdm215
Eurostar all the way - central London to Central Paris in just a few hours.

Dazza
It depends on where in France you are going, ie if you want Brittany then its faster and easier to get the over night ferry to Roscoff rather than drive 7 hrs from Calais.
If its just the Calais area then Eurostar or Shuttle is quicker, about 35 mins as opposed to 1hr 15 on the ferry.

Snowraider
Eurostar is by far the quickest but personally I enjoy the ferry trip you can have a meal on board and make it part of the journey.

Orla C
At this time of year, I'd take the Eurostar. The ferry is more likely to be delayed due to bad weather conditions.

Jenny H
eurostar definately, ferrys take sooo long, but some are really quite cool because they have cinemas and swimming pools, like brittany ferrys.

johnny_dee
It depends where you're travelling from, and where in France you're going.

it depends what kind of ferry you get, a hovercraft takes about the same time as the eurostar, a normal ferry takes much longer and they often have a broken engine.
