Channel tunnel it is expensive against the ferry if you travel in the middle of the night you get a cheaper fare. It is still about double what you pay on the ferry.

Take the Chunnel. There are trains that allow you to drive your car on for the journey across the English Channel to France. I took a bus from Paris to London once, and the bus was driven onto the train at Calais that took us to Dover.
